MIDDLEWICH residents searching for a new takeaway may be in luck, thanks to a game-changing application lodged with the council.
A change of use application for 37 Wheelock Street – Middlewich Booze Centre – would see a takeaway food bar installed inside the existing off licence, with both ventures running side-by-side.
Owner Cebo Col wrote on the planning application: “We are planning to do 50 per cent of the shop as takeaway and food bar.
“Opening hours will be from 2pm to 11pm weekdays and weekend.
“The total space of the takeaway floor space is less than 20sq m.”
He told the Guardian that, if the application were approved, the Booze Centre would stay open as well as the food bar.
