A PLOT of land in Middlewich has been sold for £4.1 million.

The site near junction 18 of the M6, known as 18:22, has been bought by Total Developments and it has the potential to house 350,000 sq ft of industrial accommodation.

The land is next to the MA6NITUDE business park.

Ed Chantler, director at Total Developments, said: "Having recently completed our latest development in Crewe, we're now focusing on acquiring and developing land in strategic locations across the UK.

“With the site now acquired we will submit a planning application in the coming weeks, with a site start in Q2 2018."

Matt Pochin, Legat Owen's director, said: "With DBS Pochin bringing forward large-scale distribution warehouses, 18:22 provides an excellent opportunity to complement this offer by focusing purely on the SME market, which is severely undersupplied as proven by the full occupancy rate and rental growth of the original Midpoint 18 scheme."
