AN 11-year-old girl was flown to hospital in an air ambulance yesterday after being hit by a car in Warmingham Lane.
The girl is currently in Royal Manchester Children's Hospital with injuries to her head and arm which are not believed to be serious.
She was knocked down outside Tesco Express shortly after 4pm yesterday, Monday, September 25, by a peugeot car.
Police, ambulances, and air ambulance, were all sent to the scene police closed the road from Alexander Road for around two hours.
A spokesman for Cheshire Police said: "We were called yesterday by ambulance at 4.10pm and closed the road while the incident was dealt with.
"The girl was taken to Royal Manchester Children's Hospital and at this stage, her injuries are not believed to be serious.
"The incident is not being investigated."
