CELEBRITIES will pass through Middlewich in canoes.

A number of TV personalities including actor Tyger Drew-Honey as well as presenters Anthea Turner, Natalie Anderson and Jake Humphrey will paddle a stretch of the Cheshire waterways for Stand Up To Cancer.

The celebrities will partner with the main paddlers and cancer survivors David Sing and Helen Weller each day to help them finish the 120 mile route from Chester to Manchester.

Anthea said: “I’m delighted to be supporting this brilliant challenge.

“Meeting all the paddlers who have experienced cancer first-hand is going to be really inspirational and I’m so happy to be joining David in his canoe.

“He is undertaking a heroic challenge and I’m excited to be a part of it and help raise funds for cutting-edge research.”

The canoeists will arrive at the Big Lock Pub on Monday, September 25.
