AN INNOVATIVE Middlewich church service is set to make a one off appearance at Chester Cathedral.

On Sunday, August 27 at 6.30pm Church@28 will showcase an hour long fast-paced service of traditional hymns, contemporary music, news review, prayer and five minute message.

The focal point of the service, launched by St Michael’s and All Angels Church in 2011, is a 15 minute interview where a guest is asked to share their Christian story and experience.

Robert Reed, a member of St Michael’s and service leader, said: “The opportunity to take the service to Chester Cathedral is unmissable.

“Everyone at St Michael’s was delighted when the invitation was received.

“The service has become an important part of life in Middlewich and we consider it a real privilege to be asked to take the service and join together in worship.”

Robert will be interviewing recently appointed Vice Dean of Chester Cathedral Rev Canon Dr Barry Wilson.

A service will be set among a modern and contemporary sculpture exhibition.

Rev Canon Jeremy Dussek said: “Church@28 is a unique and exciting service that connects people with Jesus and each other.

“It seemed fitting to combine it with the truly remarkable ARK exhibition which has been a significant success and exceeded all expectations.”
