CLEDFORD Primary School has received a boost after Cheshire East Council gave it a grant of more than £5,000.
The school, in George VI Avenue, has received £5,451 to go towards upgraded lighting worth £10,451.
It is one of 19 schools and children’s centres across the borough to have received funding as part of a Department for Education capital grant allocation, which can be used to improve facilities.
Cllr George Hayes, CEC cabinet member for children and families, said: “We all want the best learning environments for our children to achieve and develop to their full potential and this scheme illustrates how best to maximise the capital resources available to achieve that.
“I look forward to visiting after the summer break to see these new resources in place and to see learners and staff benefitting from this investment.”
