RESIDENTS and staff at a Mobberley care home welcomed friends, family and neighbours to their annual music festival to enjoy food, drink and toe-tapping tunes.

Seven acts took part on the day at Sunrise of Mobberley in July, with music ranging from the 1920s through to classical violin pieces and songs from hit musicals.

Attendees were up and dancing to Ray Golden’s performance of tunes from the ‘20s to the ‘50s, and Jason O’Rourke’s take on Frank Sinatra and Elvis Presley.

The festival is part of the year-round programme of events and activities organised by Sunrise, in its mission to establish the environment for residents to live active, fulfilling lives.

Sarah Golden, director of community relations at Sunrise of Mobberley, said: “Our Mobberley Music Festival was a great way for friends, family and neighbours to come and enjoy an afternoon of socialising, terrific live music, and tasty food.

“It was wonderful to see residents and guests wearing huge smiles throughout the event, and showing their dance moves during some of the lively songs performed by the acts on show.

“We are already looking forward to next year’s music festival, which promises to be bigger and better than ever!”
