THE new Middlewich Mexon Market will take place this Saturday.
On July 22 traders will set up in Wheelock Street for 10am in a new not-for-profit market set up by Middlewich Town Council, Middlewich Vision, local partners and participating traders.
With the support of Cheshire East Council, MTC has purchased its own stalls and is hiring them at at a much reduced rate to encourage start up business and provide support to existing traders.
Stalls include Devaney Butchers, Cheshire Pie Company, V and S Home Décor, Dreaming Dragons, Vinnies Cakes and Shakes, Marts Craft Beer and much more.
The name Mexon derives from early medieval times. The Kings Mexon market operated on a regular basis in the town and it was decided to adopt the name for its uniqueness.
