ANSA Environmental Services hosted events for employees who have served government for more than 30 years.

The wholly owned company of Cheshire East Council held a ceremony in Middlewich and Macclesfield where 39 employees were presented with certificates for their service to local government and communities.

In total, the employees have amassed 1411 years between them, ranging from services such as parks, waste, business support, fleet and street cleansing.

Cllr John Hammond, chair of the Ansa board of directors, said: “It’s truly inspiring to see such dedication and experience from so many members of our team.

“With these events we have celebrated role models whose loyalty, knowledge and service to their communities is invaluable to our company.”

The employee with the longest service was Joe Davies, who has recently retired after 47 years’ of working in local government.

He spent the majority of his career working for waste services in the north of the borough.
