A MARKET will return to Middlewich next month.
A monthly market will take place in Wheelock Street once again after the previous Makers Market stopped due to a low footfall.
Discussions between councillors and traders had been ongoing since the Makers Market announcement, and it is now confirmed that a council-led market will return on July 22.
Cllr Pam Farrell said: “It’s absolutely fantastic to be able restart the market and it’s testament to the work Bev Cope has done with Middlewich Vision that we are here.
“We took business cards from all the stallholders and have been speaking to them in Sandbach and Winsford and they’re all interested in coming back.
“Hopefully the residents can really get behind it, as if it goes well we’re aiming to hold a special market for our November lights switch on.”
