Fiona Bruce MP said: “It’s an absolute privilege to be re-elected as an MP for Congleton for a third time.

“Particularly for Middlewich, the completion of the bypass and opening of a railway station are my priorities.

“Not only will it bring huge benefits for the town, but it will also create more than 2,000 jobs in the area, which is vital to improving the quality of people's lives.

“I’ve improved my vote count, and there’s been a higher turnout, and for that I thank the people of the constituency.

"Nationally it's still to early to call."
