CHESHIRE Police is renewing its appeal to trace a man involved in a Tabley murder, 14 years on from the gruesome attack.

Christopher Guest More fled the country after the brutal torture and murder of Brian Waters at Burnt House Farm in Tabley in June 2003.

The family of Mr Waters were forced to watch as the 44-year-old from Stapeley suffered more than 100 separate injuries after being suspended upside down from a metal bar in the barn by a drugs gang.

He was then sexually assaulted with an iron bar, which fatally damaged his internal organs.

While three of More’s accomplices were caught and sentenced, the Lymm man went on the run and is believed to be in Spain.

Gang members Otis Matthews of Stretford, James Stuart Raven, of Radcliffe, and John Wilson of Glossop were found guilty of Mr Waters’ murder in December 2004.

More is believed to be aged between 25 and 30, approximately 6ft tall, of slim build and with cropped fair hair.

DCI Chris Ankers from the Cheshire Police Major Crime Directorate said: "Our determination to find Christopher Guest More has not faltered over the last 14 years and we remain committed to finding and arresting him for his alleged involvement in the brutal murder of Brian Waters.

“This case will not be closed until the family of Brian Waters see justice done for the murder of their loved one and I am confident that with the ongoing efforts of law enforcement agencies, Christopher Guest More will be traced.

“I would urge anyone with any information into More’s whereabouts to contact the team here at Cheshire Police on 101 to help enable the family of Brian Waters to achieve justice.”
