A SUSPECTED arson attack at a disuses Holmes Chapel building required firefighters' attention yesterday afternoon, Monday.
Three fire engines, one each from Holmes Chapel, Middlewich and Congleton, attended the fire in Manor Lane at 3.49pm.
A Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: "A small fire in a disused building on Manor Lane was tackled by firefighters.
"The crews, two firefighters wearing breathing apparatus, searched the building to make sure there were no casualties and used a hose reel jet to put out the fire.
"It is believed the fire was started deliberately.
"Anyone with any information is urged to call Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111, or Cheshire Police on 101."
