A WOMAN has been left with life changing injuries after a crash in Middlewich.

At 9.45pm on Tuesday, May 16, police were called to Cledford Lane, near to Kinderton Park after a car had collided with a 51-year-old woman.

The vehicle involved had fled the scene and the woman has since been taken to Royal Stoke Hospital with serious injuries to her legs.

DS Richard Johnson said: “This victim in this incident has sustained life changing injuries and we are committed to doing all we can to bring the person responsible to justice.

“Enquiries into the collision are on-going and I’m keen to hear from anyone with any information in relation to the incident.

Police would specifically like to speak to anyone who may have seen the victim walking in the Cledford Lane area before the collision occurred.

A 47-year-old woman from Middlewich is assisting officers with their enquiries after she was arrest on suspicion of failing to stop and failing to report a collision.
