A MANCHESTER Metropolitan University student will be performing at Middlewich FAB Festival.

Third-year student Lucy Wentworth will be performing her country folk inspired songs following the university’s silver sponsorship of the festival.

The event coincides with the release of Lucy’s debut album ‘Tales from a Parallel Universe.’

Pam Farrell, Middlewich Town Mayor, said: “It is a great honour to welcome back one of our main sponsors from last year and to have one of their talented students to perform.

“The town council is delighted to be able to produce such a popular event that can offer a platform for new talented musicians to participate in.”

FAB Festival boasts a reach of 2.45 million people nationally, and continues to provide a base for companies to get involved with a community initiative.

Professor Christine Horrocks, pro-vice-chancellor for MMU, said: “We encourage our students to gain as much experience as possible throughout their degree.

“This is a great opportunity for Lucy to showcase her music at a local festival in Cheshire.”

Advanced tickets prices are available for Friday night at fabfestiva.co.uk.

Saturday and Sunday nights’ concerts are free to the public.
