A DJ is offering the chance to carry May Day celebrations into the night on Saturday, with Eivissa Partido – Ibiza Party – returning to the Legh Arms for the fourth year.

Knutsford-based DJ and producer Mike McGuinness, aka Lempo, has secured a line-up fit for a festival, with Phats & Small, K-Klass and Brandon Block on the bill.

Mike, a friend of Legh Arms owners Zoe and Matt Blythe, set up the event to mark their arrival in Knutsford. This year’s event will act as a send-off as they take a break from the industry.

Mike said: “I wanted to bring the Ibiza party vibe to Knutsford for a while as many of my friends don’t get the opportunity to see my shows and I’d stopped performing locally. It’s not every day a public house is turned into a club with a line-up of the magnitude I had planned, but it felt like a great fit.

“May Day was always going to be the right date as you could argue it’s a bigger date than Christmas to Knutsfordians.”

The event will be a Knutsford debut for producer-turned-TV personality Brandon Block, while K-Klass and Phats & Small return.

As Lempo, Mike spent five years as Amber Lounge’s resident DJ. He has had a hand in a number of best-selling dance tracks, and will be performing at Parklife festival in Manchester this June.

Previous years have seen the 300 tickets sell out in advance, with wristbands for this year’s event priced at £10 and available to buy at the bar in the Brook Street pub.

Doors open at 8pm on May 6, through to 1am. Visit lempo.co.uk.
