PSYCHE-FOLK band The Sundowners have been announced as the FAB Festival’s Saturday headline act.

The band formed in 2010, releasing two albums along the way, and have a third set to be released in April, with new lead single ‘Great Beauty’ having already featured on BBC 6 Music and Radio X.

FAB Festival has also announced the return of supporting artist Emma Stevens, who has reached nearly three million plays on Spotify since 2012.

Festival goers can expect to hear new music from the Guildford based singer and multi-instrumentalist, who is due to release her third album ‘To My Roots’ this year.

Dave Thompson, FAB Festival event organiser, said: “The festival will include a fabulous showcase of talent from the North West.

“Key to our intentions is Martin Moseley – a live music promoter who works with Liverpool Sound City. His knowledge of the live music scene is way beyond mine and I’m so happy to be working with him.”

Middlewich Town Clerk, Jonathan William, added: “I’m thrilled to have Emma Stevens return as part of this year’s FAB Festival.

“She will be a great addition to the festivities over the three days and is always a crowd favourite.”

This is the Middlewich FAB Festival’s 27th year, and this is the second headliner to be announced following Lightning Seeds headlining Friday night’s ticketed concert.

Tickets for the Friday night concert in June, as well as for camping, can be found on the website fabfestival.co.uk/shop.
