THE relaunch of the Middlewich Chamber of Commerce is taking shape, with a follow-up meeting to last month’s introduction organised.

David Latham, an independent town councillor, is heading up the concept and says more than 80 people attended the initial meeting at the Boar’s Head on January 30, chaired by Cllr Latham, town clerk Jonathan Williams and Middlewich Vision's Bev Cope.

Now, a follow-up has been pencilled in for Monday, February 27 – again at the Boar’s Head.

Cllr Latham said: “The meeting lasted approximately an hour and a half, and many local businesses joined in and took aprt.

“On the whole it was a very well-structured and received evening, with a warm round of applause given at the end and with all businesses present being vocal in wanting the Chamber to start.”

The aim is to create a network between businesses, community groups and the council, after some of Middlewich’s younger business owners voiced concerns of feeling isolated.
