DETAILS of the short story competitions for the upcoming crime-themed SCRIBE Literary Festival have been released by organisers.
The competition, which has categories for over 16s and under 16s, is open until 5pm on Monday, March 6.
Over 16s are invited to add 2000 words to a pre-written introduction called ‘The Canal Detective’, with Middlewich featured in the content.
Entrants into the under 16s category can submit a short story of between 300 and 500 words, including the words ‘mysterious’, ‘clue’ and ‘print’.
Entry is free, but £5 donations to not-for-profit community group Middlewich Vision will be gratefully received.
Drop your entry into the Middlewich Vision office, email visionapm@middlewich.org.uk or label it ‘SCRIBE Competition and post it to Middlewich Vision, Victoria Building, Lewin Street, Middlewich, CW10 9AS.
For full details, terms and conditions, and the beginning of ‘The Canal Detective’, visit scribefest.org.
Winners will be announced at the festival, which takes place between March 23 and 25.
More information about the three-day programme will be announced shortly.
