TRAFFIC signals at the Cledford Lane junction of Booth Lane will be installed later this month, in preparation for the opening of Ansa's environmental hub next year.
Loop cutting, which will facilitate the installation of sensors at the junction, will take place on Saturday, December 10, and Sunday, December 11.
The four-way signals will then be installed at Booth Lane's crossroads with Cledford Lane and Cross Lane between Saturday, December 17 and Wednesday, December 21.
Delays are likely for the duration of the works.
Today, December 8, and yesterday, cable and equipment works have been taking place in preparation for the installation.
The signals are described in the site's plans as 'vehicle actuation' lights, which will only stop traffic on Booth Lane when there are vehicles waiting in Cledford Lane or Cross Lane.
The stop line on Cledford Lane will be located to the east of the canal bridge to allow HGVs to easily turn into the junction.
