TWO fire engines were called to a Middlewich property this afternoon after reports of a fire burning out of control.
At around 3.34pm, crews from Middlewich and Winsford attended the house in Newton Heath, where a coal-burning fire was out of control and filling the lounge with smoke.
Firefighters removed the embers from the grate and used a high-pressure fan to disperse the smoke.
A Middlewich resident reported seeing a fire engine in the middle of the road, with firefighters walking in and out of the house.
