YOUNG people who have attended a school or college in east Cheshire are being given the chance to win a MacBook Air in exchange for feedback on careers advice.

Cheshire East Council’s arms-length Skills and Growth Company is striving to ensure everyone receives the best careers advice, including guidance in choosing a career as well as what skills and qualifications are needed and where to gain them.

People aged 14 to 24 who are currently at – or have previously attended – a school or college in the area can complete a short online survey by mobile phone, tablet or computer.

The results will benefit the improvement of careers advice and guidance across the borough.

One participant will win a MacBook Air laptop, while the first 200 that refer a friend will receive a £5 Amazon voucher.

Councillor George Hayes, chairman of The Skills and Growth Company, said: “The survey has been developed to gather young people’s views on careers education in Cheshire East, to help identify what they see as potential barriers to employment and help shape our priorities for the future.

“Therefore, five or 10 minutes of your time to complete the survey would be greatly appreciated.”
