Road to close for five consecutive Sundays for electric cable work
LEWIN Street will be closed for five Sundays as Scottish Power undertake excavation works, starting this weekend.
The closure, from the library to the junction with Civic Way, will be in place to allow 150 metres of excavation work to ‘modernise’ the current underground electric cables.
Starting on Sunday, October 9, the work will force further closures on October 16, 23, 30 and finally November 6.
Cheshire East Council advise anyone with enquiries relating to the works to contact Roadsafe on 01942 722603.
Diversions will be in place.
