Queues on the M6 southbound (far carriageway)
A SIX-VEHICLE crash on the M6 southbound between Knutsford and Middlewich has forced two lanes to close.
The crash, southbound between junctions 19 and 18, occurred at around 12.45 and has already caused queues to stretch back past Knutsford.
There are currently delays of more than 30 minutes against normal traffic, with Highways hoping to clear the incident by around 4pm.
Police and fire crews have joined Highways at the scene. Motorway police are urging drivers to avoid the area.
