IMMIGRATION officers raided a Middlewich restaurant last night, although no arrests were made.
Immigration Enforcement visited popular family-run Cantonese restaurant The Alhambra, in Wheelock Street, at around 6pm on Thursday evening.
The popular restaurant, as well as family bedrooms, were searched by officers causing some customers to leave.
Owners say officers were tipped off by a member of the public, and Jackie Lee took to Facebook to air her grievances after the unsettling event.
She wrote: “Thanks to whoever tipped off the immigration officers. The Alhambra has just been raided for illegal immigrants knowing full well we have been established for the past 20 years and never have employed illegals.
“Whoever this small minded person was, you have not only just wasted our time and the officers – who which I may add were not impressed – you have also just lost us customers as we had a table in and they felt intimidated by this and left.
“In future whoever you are I hope next time you do your research correctly.”
