ENJOYING the autumn sunshine this morning?
According to forecasters you should make the most of it as outbreaks of showery rain turning torrential and thundery across northern England has been predicted this afternoon.
The Met Office has issued a yellow warning of rain from 2pm today, Tuesday, to 11pm tonight.
A spokesman added: "A very warm and humid air mass is in place across much of the UK, with conditions marginal for thunderstorm development this afternoon as temperatures rise.
"While most places will miss the worst, there is also a risk of large hail, frequent lightning and strong winds.
"Please be aware that this could cause flash flooding and disruption to travel."
Temperatures in the region are expected to reach 24 degrees today while London basks in 30 degree sunshine.
