POPULAR Middlewich nurse Sally Hill will be remembered by her patients on Sunday after she died in a car crash.

Sally worked at Oaklands Medical Centre for many years and tragically died in a crash last month.

Sally’s funeral was held in Crewe but the surgery has been inundated with requests to hold a memorial service in Middlewich, where she was so well-thought of in the community.

Diane Bowker, from Oaklands Medical Centre, said: “There are lots of her patients who couldn’t get to her funeral because it was in Crewe so people have been coming into the surgery and asking if we could hold a service for her in Middlewich.

“The family wanted to do this because Middlewich people did mean so much to her.”

The memorial service will be held at St Michael’s Church, in Hightown, at 3pm. Her family have asked that those attending wear bright, cheerful colours – particularly yellow and purple which were her favourite.

Tea and coffee will be available after the service, courtesy of Tesco, at No 28 directly opposite the church.
