MIDDLEWICH Vision will be hosting a meeting in response to the high level of vandalism and antisocial behaviour in the town’s parks.

The parks, namely Stallard Way, Booth Lane skate park and Fountain Fields, have all attracted vandals in recent months and have been the subject of many complaints from residents.

Middlewich Vision say they are aware of the problems and want to hear residents’ views on how they can be tackled and prevented.

Stallard Way has borne the brunt of the vandalism, and has been closed for much of this year following a vandalism incident that led to police involvement.

Although the park is chained up and equipment may even need replacing, residents say older children continue to use it and the damaged apparatus.

The park was refurbished in 2014 at a cost of £60,000. Fountain Fields was also the subject of a consultation last year, with a view to a refurbishment.

The Middlewich Vision meeting will take place tonight, September 1, starting promptly at 7pm in the Victoria Hall in Civic Way.

Residents living near to the three parks have also been invited via leaflet.
