TRIBUTES have poured in for an “irreplaceable” Middlewich nurse who was killed in a car accident last week.

Sally Hill, who worked at Oaklands Medical Centre in St Anns Walk for more than 20 years and lived in Wistaston, died on Friday night following a multi-vehicle crash on the Haslington bypass.

Three cars and a lorry were involved in the incident at around 10.20pm near Sandbach, where Sally, 51, sadly died at the scene.

Her colleagues said: “Sally Hill worked at Oaklands for over 20 years and during that time, forged excellent relationships with a great many of our patients.

“As well as losing an extremely important member of our clinical team, we at Oaklands have lost a dear and much loved friend. Put simply, she is irreplaceable.”

At the request of their patients, Oaklands staff have opened a book of condolence for Sally, which, once completed, will be given to her family. It can be found in the practice’s downstairs waiting room.

Members of Facebook group ‘Middlewich Community Group’, including Sally’s daughters Lora and Kate and Oaklands patients, have left more than 50 heartfelt tributes in the days after the accident.

Sammi Hatton said: “I feel so shocked and saddened to hear this. Such a lovely lady and such a fantastic practitioner.

“She will be greatly missed. Love to her family, friends, patients and colleagues. Life is so unfair.”

Sarah Burrows added: “I'm really saddened by this. She was so nice to me and really went out of her way to help me. Lovely woman.”

Claire Field posted: “So sad. Sally was wonderful with my grandparents and my children. I will never forget her kind heart and kind words.”

Sally’s daughters both thanked the dozens of Facebook users who sent their condolences and kind words.

Kate said: “Thank you for your kind words. My mum was one in a million and would be really touched by all these messages.”

Lora added: “If only my mum could see this now she would be oh so touched. I wish she was here to read all this.

“Thank you to every single one of you for all your kind thoughts and words.”

Other members have spoken of Sally’s compassion, professionalism, and her love of dogs and music.
