A MIDDLEWICH farmer’s daughter has been crowned Cheshire Dairy Queen at a recent annual rally day.

Lisa Oakes of Middlewich Young Farmers was awarded the title at this year’s Cheshire Young Farmers Club rally day at Reaseheath College, Nantwich on May 29.

Along with ladies in waiting Catherine Bull of Beeston Young Farmers and Hannah Crawford of Sandbach Young Farmers, Lisa will represent Cheshire Young Farmers Club for the next year.

The role entails raising money for charity, as well as encouraging people to join the organisation. Her first task was representing the Young Farmers Club at the Cheshire Show earlier this week.

The new team replace retiring queen Larissa Jones, and her ladies in waiting Jessica Simms and Vicki Bennion, both of Middlewich Young Farmers.

The annual rally day brings clubs from across the region together, and this year saw 10 Cheshire clubs compete in events such as stockjudging, homecraft, novelty sports and tug of war, battling it out for the so-called Moody Bowl.
