ESTATE agents Coulby Conduct, which has high street premises in Northwich, Winsford and Middlewich, celebrated its 18th birthday last week and looked back on how the business has grown.

Coulby Conduct opened on June 1, 1998, in High Street in Northwich with just two members of staff and went on to expand with premises in Middlewich then Winsford and now employs 25 staff members across three offices.

The Northwich business, which recently moved into The old Beehive pub building in Witton Street, became the first agent to use computer technology, have their own website and fully integrate all offices to work as one.

Director Richard Coulby said: “We started trading with just the two of us doing all our valuations in the evening, sharing a car between us and working seven days a week until Christmas Day. We worked 24/7 continuously, slowly employing more staff.

opening in Middlewich, Winsford and then branched out into Lettings and Management, qualifying as A.R.L.A agents and we now employ 25 staff members and continue to go from strength to strength.

“We have worked in good and bad markets, the recession of five years ago and now we are experiencing a much better, steady market which makes for a much calmer market for home owners to move within.

“Whether we will see as many changes over the next 18 years is hard to say but one thing I can guarantee is that whatever is thrown at us we will continue to innovate."

and never forget the core values that we have grown up with regarding a quality and personal customer service.”
