CELEBRITY astrologer Russell Grant will open Middlewich FAB Festival’s inaugural Street Fest next Saturday.
The former Strictly Come Dancing and Celebrity Masterchef contestant will join mayor Cllr Pam Farrell in the FAB parade from 11am, before officially opening Street Fest at midday.
A brand new event for 2016, Street Fest will bring music and dance to Wheelock Street next Saturday afternoon, June 18.
Russell said: “I am delighted to join Middlewich FAB Festival 2016 to open Street Fest.
“Participating in events of this size with such a wide-array of performances including international acts is something I am proud to be associated with.”
Over 100 free performances will take place across the weekend, including 50 at eight official fringe venues.
Festival organiser, Dave Thompson said: “We are pleased to welcome Russell Grant to this year’s Middlewich FAB Festival to open Street Fest, which will be a buzz of activity comprising international performers.
“Our wide array of entertainment across the weekend of festivities will attract people from across the country to Middlewich.”
