Woman taken to hospital after fire in Wheelock Street flat
A WOMAN was taken to hospital after cooking caused a fire at a flat in Wheelock Street in Middlewich.
Three fire crews from Middlewich, Winsford and Northwich were called to the flat at 3.17pm on Monday, May 2, and firefighters wore breathing apparatus and used a hose reel jet to tackle the fire.
The woman was suffering from smoke inhalation and was to taken to hospital in an ambulance.
Once crews had put the fire out, a high pressure fan was then used to clear the property of smoke.
