THIS year’s Middlewich FAB Festival will welcome back the renowned ‘Fosbrook Clog’ to this year’s event.
The young student dancers, who hail from Stockport School of Traditional Music and Dance, perform unique percussive displays to historic music of the British Isles, and celebrate Northern English heritage.
Fosbrook Clog are set to lead the way for the traditional celebrations showcased yearly at Middlewich FAB Festival, and will highlight the folk background of the event, which will run from Friday, June 17, to Sunday, June 19.
Enthusiastic clog dancers will perform the tap and Celtic step dances inspired by Irish custom, while clothed in black and white costumes that mimic the outfits of Fosbrook dancers from the past.
The young dancers have performed on national and international levels, and will be set to delight the crowds at FAB Festival 2016.
Dave Thompson, Middlewich FAB Festival organiser, said: “We are pleased to welcome back the young dancers Fosbrook Clog and the fantastic atmosphere that they create throughout Middlewich.
“We expect the energy of their performances will amplify the festival spirit and that they’ll bring the stage and streets alive once again on Sunday.”
