CHURCHES around Middlewich have joined together this week to celebrate the ‘week of prayer’ for Christian Unity.
The national initiative, which runs all week, has brought the town’s five churches together.
Prayer events, lasting 30 minutes, were held at United Reformed Church and Middlewich Community Church on Monday and Tuesday respectively, with one being held at 10am today, Wednesday, at Middlewich Methodist Church, in Booth Lane.
Another event will be held tomorrow, Thursday, at St Mary’s RC Church in King Street at 7pm before a joint celebration service on Sunday, January 24 at St Michael and All Angels Church.
The event at St Michael’s Church will start at 6.30pm and the worship will be led by the Festival Choir.
