MIDDLEWICH hotel, restaurant and wedding reception venue, The Sandhurst, has been put up for sale as an 11-bedroom house.
The property, on Chester Road, was bought by Steve and Rowena Moore in 2004 and the couple acquired the adjoining premises to make the detached country house style restaurant with letting rooms.
Now, after more than 11 years operating in the town, the hotel is now up for sale.
The Sandhurst was put on the market in December 2014 as a hotel with an asking price of £850,000 but was taken off again two months later after Rowena was overwhelmed with the amount of people calling for it to stay open.
Rowena said in February 2015: “It was the amount of customers at Christmas that were devastated we were leaving. I didn’t realise how much we were loved.
“After all the positive feedback from customers, somebody rang before Christmas asking about buying the place and it just hit me that I don’t want to sell it.”
Now the hotel is back up for sale as a house with a reduced asking price of £675,000.
