MIDDLEWICH-based construction company Pochin’s has been given permission to build another extensive warehouse in Midpoint 18.

The plans to build a 14,402sq m warehouse with office accommodation, car parking yards, HGV parking and a gatehouse were submitted in June and have now been approved.

Pochin’s head of property development, Bob Nicholson, said the latest warehouse plot will add to the reputation of Midpoint 18 as being a ‘landmark development for the north west.’

Mr Nicholson said: “Pochin’s has been supporting and working with Middlewich for more than 50 years and we’re extremely pleased to be in a position to bring new business to the area.

“Midpoint 18 goes from strength to strength and this latest planning consent will enable us to respond to future market requirements and further the reputation of the park as a landmark development for Cheshire and the north west."

The permission to go ahead with the plans has been granted subject to a section 106 agreement, typically used to secure financial contributions from a developer.

The agreement is said to be in relation to mitigating loss of grassland.

It is not yet known what will occupy the warehouse and offices.
