A MAN from Middlewich has been sent to jail for five months after he head-butted a policewoman.
Ian Eddleston, 40, from Warmingham Lane, assaulted three police officers on Saturday, November 7, in Crook Lane in Winsford.
A member of the public called police in the early hours of the morning, reporting that a man, appearing to be drunk, had fallen off his motorbike and was trying to restart it.
Officers attended and Eddleston began to fight with them. He was arrested but in the violent struggle both at the scene and on route to the custody suite he head-butted a female police officer and assaulted two other male officers.
Eddleston was later charged with three assaults, as well as failing to provide a specimen of breathe for analysis and a public order offence.
