A FRANTIC search is on for a pipe band or a 'lone piper' to provide music for Sunday's Remembrance Day commemorations in Knutsford.
Knutsford Town Council is on the look out for musicians who play bagpipes either in an ensemble or solo after a last minute cancellation.
Clare Stuart-West, PA to the town mayor, is welcoming all suggestions and councillors have got involved with the search by asking members of the public via Twitter.
The memorial services will begin at 8.45 on Sunday November 8 at St Cross Church, with the parade starting at the Ruskin Rooms on Drury Lane at 10.15am. The services will conclude with the final wreath laying at the Parachute Regiment Memorial at Tatton Park at 1.30pm.
If you know of anyone who would be interested in playing at the Remembrance Service on Sunday, contact Clare as soon as possible on 01565 653 929 or email clare.stuart-west@knutsfordtowncouncil.gov.uk
