Decision on waste site put back a month
THE decision on whether to grant permission to Cheshire East Council to build a waste transfer site in Middlewich has been put back a month.
The topic of the waste transfer site, which has been earmarked for development in Cledford Lane, was due to be discussed at a strategic planning meeting today, Wednesday, August 26.
However, just a week before the meeting, the waste site was removed from the agenda and has been postponed until the next meeting on Wednesday, September 23.
Campaign group Action Against Ansa, run by Middlewich town councillor David Latham, was due to stage a peaceful protest at the planning meeting this morning.
