MIDDLEWICH Library is asking for members of the public to put their thinking caps on and come up with names for the Roman soldier and his horse who now stand in the library.
The library is asking for suggestions and is also launching a story-writing competition involving the new library residents.
The competition asks for entrants to write a story of 500 words or less about the soldier and his horse’s adventures. The competition will close on Saturday, September 12. Hand competition entries into the library on Lewin Street.
