THE Middlewich Rail Link Campaign is getting growing support from businesses according to discussions at the latest group meeting.
Campaigners joined at the Boar’s Head in Middlewich for their latest meeting on June 30 and talked about the number of businesses now supporting the campaign.
Debbie Hamilton, one of the campaigners with the group, said: “The latest meeting discussed the growing numbers of corporate bodies and partner agencies who support the reopening of Middlewich train station and the reinstatement of the passenger train service.
“Cheshire's three main railway lines are not currently linked. Trains via Middlewich would link those lines, connecting 27 towns and villages and opening up more of Cheshire to leisure and business opportunities.
“If your business isn't involved yet, join us at 8pm on Tuesday, July 28 at the Boar's Head in Middlewich.”
The group is now switching back to bi-monthly meetings and the next meeting after next Tuesday will be Tuesday, September 29.
More information is available on the Middlewich Railway Station Facebook page.
