OLYMPIC gymnast and Dancing on Ice star Beth Tweddle visited Middlewich High School gave some top tips to budding gymnasts.
Beth, who won gold medals in the World Championships, European Championships and Commonwealth games, as well as bronze in the Olympic Games, visited the school on Friday, June 26.
The experienced gymnast, who grew up in Bunbury in east Cheshire, started the day off coaching youngsters from primary schools around Middlewich as well as a lucky few from Middlewich High School, before holding a question nand answer session with GSCE PE students.
Elaine Nash from Middlewich High School said: “She gave her advice on how hard she trained and how much support she got throughout her career.
“Later that day at the Opening Ceremony, Beth gave an inspirational speech to the school that left us ready for the start of Sports Week.
“Overall we had a great day with Beth and she expressed how well behaved and lovely the children were to work with, hopefully we can invite her back in future years to inspire more students into following their dreams.”
