MIDDLEWICH resident Matt Parry was crowned overall winner of the annual Middlewich Heritage Photograph Competition.

Matt impressed the judges with his stunning photograph of the landmark Three Shires Head, the point on Axe Edge Moor at where Cheshire, Derbyshire and Staffordshire meet.

The competition, which was in its sixth year, was sponsored by Jugglers Management Accountancy Services, who has supported the competition for the last five consecutive years.

The competition looks to encourage the exploration of Cheshire’s stunning scenery through a camera lens. All ages and skill levels were welcomed, with a number of categories to enter.

Culminating at the annual Middlewich Folk and Boat Festival, the competition finalists’ photographs were on display at the Town Hall Function Suite, for the duration of the festival. The Festival draws hundreds of visitors to the area and was celebrating a landmark of 25 years this year.

David Hubbard, Jugglers director, said: “The competition standards were high this year with all of the entries capturing the beauty which often goes unnoticed within Cheshire. Matt’s photo really stood out to me and captured the beauty of Three Shires Head.”

David is a keen photography enthusiast and shares a passion and appreciation for the stunning selection of photographs which were on display.
