CHESHIRE East Council leader Michael Jones seems to be looking forward to this weekend’s FAB Fest in Middlewich after describing it as ‘one of the country’s great events.’
Cllr Jones said: “Middlewich is the centre of boating in Cheshire and the Folk and Boat Festival, now in its 25th year, is one of the county’s great events.
“It’s a great, fun day and I encourage as many people as possible to go along. In the long run we want to improve parking in the town so that the festival can get even better.
“It is great for the Middlewich economy but we want people to visit the town more often and make it a destination point for many things.”
The 25th Folk and Boat Festival will commence on Friday, June 19 and will go on until Sunday, June 20.
