THE Runcorn Widnes bridge is now fully re-opened after police successfully dealt with an incident.
Cheshire police closed the bridge in both directions an hour ago because they were concerned about the safety of a 35-year-old man.
A police spokesman said: “The man is now safe with police and awaiting assessment by paramedics.”
The bridge is open in both directions and traffic is moving.
It may take some time to clear the tailback.
Police have thanked drivers for their patience.
