MORE than 20 roads are to be given a major revamp by Cheshire East Council in the next month as part of its commitment to ‘putting residents first’.

Resurfacing work will be carried out to improve the roads and make them more weather proof, improve skid resistance and boost safety.

The revamp will tackle roads all over the borough, however Cheshire East Council says Knutsford and Macclesfield will be done first.

Paul Traynor, Cheshire East’s strategic commissioning manager for highways, said: “This is really good news for all road users and our local communities and is the latest phase of delivering significant highways improvements for all our residents across the Borough.

“I would like to thank people in advance for their patience for any temporary inconvenience.”

If you have any concerns regarding these works, contact the highways team’s customer contact centre on 0300 123 5020.
