MIDDLEWICH First held their three seats on the Middlewich ward at Cheshire East Council in the local election and says it is now looking forward to some huge developments in the town.

Cllr Mike Parsons and Cllr Simon McGrory were both re-elected to represent Middlewich at Cheshire East, and with current Middlewich Town Mayor taking the decision to retire from council duties, his mayoral predecessor Cllr Bernice Walmsley took the third seat for Middlewich First.

Now the independent party says it is excited to be a part of the major changes that will be happening in the town.

Cllr Walmsley said: “Thanks to everyone who voted for me. I’m looking forward to continuing the work started by Middlewich First before the election and to see the major infrastructure improvements that were under discussion come to fruition.”

Cllr Parsons also thanked his voters and promised to fight for improvements in the town.

Cllr Parsons said: “I wish to express my sincerest and most heartfelt thanks to all the members of the Middlewich electorate who took the time and trouble to vote for me in last week’s Cheshire East Borough Election.

“It is very difficult to find words fitting enough to describe the humility I feel through the faith and trust shown in me by the people of Middlewich, and to whom I promise my utmost commitment.

“Having served the community as a Borough Councillor for the past 12 years and now being so kindly returned to serve for a fourth term of office. It is my pledge to the people of Middlewich that I will continue to seek to deliver the obvious improvements which the town so richly deserves and to fully represent and support all residents.”
