THE Middlewich Folk and Boat Festival will have a new logo this year courtesy of one pupil from Cledford Primary School.
Amira Kandeh, eight, has designed a logo for the festival that will be used as a special one-off logo to celebrate 25 years of the FAB Fest in Middlewich.
Middlewich graphic designer Irene Inman joined forces with Middlewich Town Council to create the logo design competition which asked pupils from Cledford Primary School to take part and help design the anniversary logo.
Pupils were asked to create a logo based on just four basic guidelines which stated characters FAB 25 must be included, the logo must be simple and bold and use no more than four colours, the logo must be able to work on both a white and dark background, and that the logo is eye-catching.
The competition judges decided that Amira’s design was the best of the bunch but Middlewich town Council events manager Dave Thompson was delighted with all the entries.
Dave said: “Cledford Primary School provided the entries and we decided they were all winners.
“We loved the colours and ideas created and wish we could use them all.
“The overall winner is Amira Kandeh. Amira`s logo will be reproduced in hi resolution, to
be used in our festival publicity and on FAB25 merchandise - limited editions on sale soon.
“Thank you to everyone at Cledford and congratulations to the winners.”
