CHURCHES Together in Middlewich will be holding their Good Friday Walk of Witness on Friday, April 3.

Members of the five Middlewich churches will gather in St. Mary’s Catholic Church at 10.30am.

At different stages of the walk they will pause to sing a hymn and read part of the passion story.

The first stopping point is the grounds of St. Michael and All Angel’s Parish Church and then the Amphitheatre.

From there they will walk to Southway for another stop, before going on to the Queen Street Park.

Their eventual destination is the United Reformed Church on Queen Street where they will read the closing verses of the passion story and sing their final hymn.

The united congregation will then move into the Church Hall for refreshments and hot cross buns.

This year the walkers will be handing out small olivewood crosses from the holy land to mark this special day.
